Whether you’re presenting in meetings at work or delivering a speech for a social function, these sessions will help you achieve clear and effective communication…
Your voice and your performance are essential to achieving this. In these sessions, you’ll learn about some of the crucial elements of voice control including breathing, projection and elocution, as well as some of the fundamentals of performance technique, all of which will help keep your audience captivated whilst keeping control of your nerves.
These sessions use techniques taught to actors in drama schools and professional companies and encompass elements of vocal technique and performance psychology.
Guy Hughes leads on these public speaking sessions, bringing first hand experience working as an actor at some of the leading theatre companies in the UK, including the Royal Shakespeare Company, Shakespeare’s Globe, Bristol Old Vic, Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse and Edinburgh Lyceum. He has also worked with and learned from world-famous theatre directors, including most notably Declan Donellan OBE, author of The Actor and the Target, one of the most highly regarded actor training books.
